NURTURING LITTLE MINDS TO GROW!

Our Story

Lily of the Valley Schools (LOVS) was founded by Marvel and Pooja Philip, two parents who are deeply passionate about early education, child development and the community we live in. Their shared vision of providing holistic, quality education and care led them to create a space where students can learn and grow in a positive and enriching environment.

Why LOVS?

your future education starts now

Mission: Our mission is to develop and inspire our children to grow through quality teaching and meaningful relationships. We serve students in ages ranging from 6 weeks to 6 years old and nurture a learning community where they are invited to think independently, ask questions, work collaboratively with peers, and embrace learning and faith as joyful experiences.

Vision: To be recognized as the leading early education and preschool service provider in the Tri-Valley by delivering holistic education and nurturing care for children.

Our Learning Philosophy

We believe the preschool child’s rightful world and work is play. Play improves the cognitive, physical, social, spiritual, and emotional well-being of children and young people. Through play, children learn about the world and themselves. They also learn skills they need for study, work and relationships, ultimately developing confidence and love in one’s self and their community.

Our Curriculum

Lily of the Valley Early Education and Preschool curriculum is thoughtfully planned, challenging, engaging, developmentally appropriate, culturally, and linguistically responsive, comprehensive, and likely to promote positive outcomes for all young children beginning the learning process with us. Our curriculum is built to encourage young minds to be active and engaged learners and build on prior learning and experiences. The core content areas curriculum is built to challenge and stimulate the following perspectives of the child.

This concept underlines the notion that the intention is not for the children to study the content of different subjects but to start to acquire tools and capabilities by means of which they are able to gradually increase their ability to examine, understand and experience a wide range of phenomena in the world around them. Each perspective has its own specific way of critical thinking and of expressing creativity, practicing imagination, refining feelings, and directing activity.
